New paper out in Science signaling!


Led by Quentin Verron, we have studied how NK cells respond to artificial immune synapses of different shapes. The results show that NK cells “reads” the overall shape of the print when assembling the immune synapse but the final step of degranulation requires local signaling. This reveals a late checkpoint for degranulation and suggests that target cells could protect themselves from attack by actively reorganizing ligands on their cell surface.
